Patrick Quayle, the Senior VP of Global Network Planning and Alliances at United Airlines commented on the launch of it’s winter schedule:

“United’s industry-leading international network has always set it apart from the competition, and we continue to find new ways to bring our customers the locations and schedules that they want”.

“This winter is no exception, as we further expand and deliver unparalleled connectivity around the globe.”

Within these new route launches, United Airlines will serve Manila from San Francisco and Christchurch from the West Coast airport also.

Across that, the new services listed above will be also operated from their bases in Los Angeles, New York’s Newark & Washington Dulles.

As for the Manila service itself, the carrier becomes the first U.S carrier to fly directly to the Philippines, and when the Beijing service resumes, they will be the same in that respect too.

All eyes will be on the carrier to see how the new routes perform, and whether there is scope for expansion going into the short-to-medium term.
