Manchester Airport New Amman Flights with Royal Jordanian

Officials from Manchester Airport have confirmed information swirling around in the industry of new flights to Amman with Royal Jordanian.

It is understood that the carrier will begin services from March 6 next year on a thrice-weekly basis.

Via LinkedIn, Manchester Airport Aviation Director Robert Smith said the following on the new flights to Amman with Royal Jordanian:

“I’m delighted to be able to officially celebrate the announcement of our newest airline partner at Manchester Airport.”

“Royal Jordanian will begin flying from Amman to Manchester with 3 weekly services from the 6th March 2024.”

“We’re really excited to begin this partnership with Eyad Birouti and all of the Royal Jordanian team.”

Middle East Portfolio At The Airport Continues to Grow…

This is more good news for Manchester Airport as their portfolio of Middle East carriers continues to grow steadily.

At the time of writing (12/12/23), the following Middle Eastern carriers operate services out of the airport:

  • Emirates
  • Gulf Air
  • Etihad Airways
  • Qatar Airways
  • Oman Air
  • Saudia
  • Kuwait Airways

These airlines serve Manchester Airport directly to the likes of Dubai, Manama, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Kuwait City, Jeddah, Muscat as well as providing onward indirect connections from their respective bases.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on how this new service to Amman with Royal Jordanian will perform, as well as whether there is scope to expand frequencies going into the future if the service is widely received by customers in the local catchment area.
