South African carrier Airlink has this week inaugurated two new services into Malawi, offering more connectivity from Johannesburg.
The dual inauguration was to the destinations of Blantyre and Lilongwe, which assists the carrier’s network expansion with a new country on the list.

Airlink From Johannesburg To Two Destinations in Malawi…

Commenting on this dual inauguration from Johannesburg into Malawi was Airlink’s CEO and Managing Director, Rodger Foster:
“In launching Airlink’s services, we are helping to establish Malawi as an attractive destination for tourism and business and support its economic diversification strategy by providing convenient, reliable and competitive flights to Johannesburg and with convenient connections to other Airlink destinations and the rest of the world with our constellation of long-haul partners”.
Airlink will utilise its Embraer regional jets, which seat 37 people per flight, and will operate the following rotations to Lilongwe (LLW) and Blantyre (BLZ) in Malawi:

Overall, this represents a significant expansion for Airlink, with Malawi now connected more easily to Johannesburg as a result.
Six weekly flights into the carrier’s 45th and 46th destination on the network highlights the significant potential that the airline is offering within South Africa and beyond.
