MAI to Start Bangkok Don Mueang Ops
As per data from AeroRoutes, Myanmar Airways International, also known as MAI, is set to begin operations on June 15, 2023, at Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) in Thailand.
This will be the first time the carrier will operate in and out of Bangkok Don Mueang as historical MAI has primarily flown in and out of Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK).

The new services to Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) will be in addition to the carriers’ existing services to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and MAI will operate flights from both Yangon and Mandalay in Myanmar.
From Yangon, MAI will operate five weekly services to DMK using a mixture of their Airbus A319 and Embraer E190 aircraft. From Mandalay, MAI will also operate five weekly services to DMK, again using a mixture of their Airbus A319 and Embraer E190 aircraft.
From both cities, their Embraer E190s will operate services on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with their Airbus A319s operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Flight 8M 360 will depart Yangon International Airport (RGN) at 09:40 a.m. and arrive at Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) at 11:30 a.m. The return flight 8M 363 departs Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) at 18:10 p.m. and arrives back at Yangon International Airport (RGN) at 19:00 p.m. All times stated are local.
Flight 8M 362 will depart Mandalay International Airport (MDL) at 14:50 p.m. and arrive at Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) at 17:10 p.m. The return flight 8M 361 departs Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) at 12:20 p.m. and arrives back at Mandalay International Airport (MDL) at 13:40 p.m. All times stated are local.
