Commenting on the new route launch was Jim Sullivan, the CEO of Lynx Air:

“Montréal is one of our fastest growing markets because it has historically been underserved by low-cost carriers and that means airfares have been too high for too long”.

“Lynx Air aims to change that. Whether you are traveling to Orlando to enjoy the famous theme parks, world-class golf, or soak up great weather, Lynx will ensure a great flying experience at an ultra-affordable price.”

Adding to this was Kevin Thibault, the CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, who discussed the new route from Montreal:

“Lynx Air’s expansion at Orlando International Airport has been remarkable”.

“The addition of this new route to Montréal further underscores Lynx’s commitment to our shared customers, Orlando and the Central Florida community.”

The Canadian carrier has also mentioned that they will be adding services to Tampa Bay from Montreal later on this month, and that by December, there will be 7,938 seats per week on offer from the Canadian airport.

All eyes to see how these new routes perform and whether there is further scope for Lynx Air to expand further going into the future.
