Lynx Air will further expand its US network with the addition of non-stop flights to Tampa International (TPA) from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Montréal Pierre Trudeau International (YUL).

Starting November 16, 2023, Lynx Air will operate four services a week from Toronto and Montréal to Tampa Bay, catering to the growing demand for travel between Canada and Florida.

With Toronto and Montréal being major Canadian cities, this expansion allows more travelers from these regions to explore two of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Florida—Orlando and Tampa Bay.

Lynx Air aims to enhance travel experiences by offering a total of 66 services per week to and from Florida, connecting Toronto, Montréal, Calgary, and Vancouver.

By expanding its reach, Lynx Air is providing a greater range of options for Canadian travelers seeking affordable flights to Florida.

Enriching travel experiences in Tampa Bay

Merren McArthur, CEO of Lynx Air, expressed enthusiasm about the expanded network and highlighted Tampa Bay’s attractions.

“We are thrilled to connect sun-seekers from Ontario and Quebec to Tampa Bay, one of the most vibrant destinations in the US.”

The airline aims to provide Canadians with more affordable options to explore and enjoy the sights and attractions of this captivating region of the United States.

Tampa International Airport’s perspective

Joe Lopano, CEO of Tampa International Airport (TPA), emphasized the significance of the new partnership with Lynx Air.

“Tampa International Airport is proud to offer more travel options from Toronto and Montreal with our new airline partner Lynx Air, the first Canadian carrier to launch new service to TPA since the pandemic,” stated Lopano.

He further mentioned the strong connection between the Tampa Bay community and its Canadian neighbors, highlighting the importance of this service in fostering economic growth and tourism.

Rapid growth of Lynx Air

Since its inception just over 15 months ago, Lynx Air has expanded rapidly and now serves a total of 17 destinations across North America, including five in the United States.

The airline operates a modern fleet of seven brand new Boeing 737 aircraft. As part of its growth strategy, Lynx Air plans to expand its fleet to 10 aircraft by the end of 2023 and aims to have a fleet of 46 aircraft within the next four to five years.

These expansion plans highlight Lynx Air’s commitment to providing enhanced travel experiences to its passengers.

Conclusion

Lynx Air’s recent announcement of non-stop flights to Tampa Bay from Toronto and Montréal marks a further step in the expansion of the new carrier’s US network.

The addition of these new routes provides Canadian travelers with more affordable options to visit popular Florida destinations.

With its competitive fares and continuous efforts to enhance connectivity, Lynx Air is positioning itself as a top choice for those seeking convenient and cost-effective travel.
