A Boeing 737 MAX 8 with registration SP-LVL made its first flight today (March 15) after receiving a new special livery. The aircraft carries the colors of LOT Polish Airlines and the ITAKA Travel Agency, which promotes the ITAKA Friends Club, including the ENERGYLANDIA amusement park.
It is worth mentioning that the first 737 MAX acquired from Blue Air to receive LOT’s colours.
The special paint job, which adorns a Boeing 737 MAX with registration SP-LVL, showcases the ITAKA Friends Club offered at the company’s home-grown ENERGYLANDIA located in Zator, Malopolskie Province.
ENERGYLANDIA is the largest amusement park in Poland, offering 123 attractions located on an area of 70 hectares, designed for all ages, whether children, teenagers or adults. This is the second B737 MAX aircraft, after the SP-LVD “Independence”, to receive special colours.
For the time being, none of the parties to the new paint scheme (LOT, ITAKA, ENERGYLANDIA) have officially announced this cooperation, nor have they yet responded to an inquiry regarding the new colours of the B737 MAX.
ITAKA Friends Club
The program of ITAKA’s Friends Clubs is based on movement and art activities for kids. In addition to holiday entertainment, it also has an educational dimension.
It is also specially selected hotels, family rooms and plenty of attractions for vacations with children where ITAKA’s animation team conducts animations in Polish. These attractions are usually offered in the peak summer season from June 15 to September 15.

Ex Blue Air 737 MAX
The B737 MAX 8 with serial numbers MSN 43331 / LN 8138 (ex YR-MXE), which received the Polish registration SP-LVL, was produced in mid-2021, made its first technical flight on October 21 last year and was then delivered to Blue Air on December 17, 2021.
The aircraft was then parked by ALC in Prague, Czech Republic, after being withdrawn by the Romanian carrier. It was stored there from September 14 to November 21, 2022.
LOT’s new acquisition takes 189 passengers on board, three more than the carrier’s current B737 MAX, which has 186 seats.
The national carrier’s acquisition of the six planes, which previously went to Romania’s financially troubled Blue Air, came as something of a surprise.
LOT acquired the new aircraft through an operating lease from Air Lease Corporation, bringing the American company’s portfolio to 12 aircraft in LOT’s fleet. The last machine acquired from the Romanian airline arrived in Warsaw on January 17 this year.

Currently, there are 74 aircraft in LOT’s fleet, including 17 Boeing 737s, 11 B737 MAX 8s and six B737-800NGs.
