LOT Polish Airlines Announces 2024 – 2028 Strategy

On October 5, 2023, the Polish flag carrier, LOT, has announced its strategy for the development of the carrier between 2024 to 2028.

To kick things off for the Polish flag carrier’s latest strategy, in the wake of its record financial standing, the carrier will be transforming this into a substantial growth plan.

By 2028, the carrier is expecting its fleet to have grown to 110 aircraft, a nearly 50% increase in fleet compared to its current fleet of 73 aircraft, as well as adopting a more modern fleet.

The carrier currently operates six Boeing 737-800s, 11 Boeing 737 MAX 8s, eight Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, seven Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, five Embraer ERJ-170s, 13 Embraer ERJ-175s, eight Embraer ERJ-190s, and 15 Embraer ERJ-195s.

In line with its fleet growth, the carrier is planning to add 20 new medium and long-haul destinations, this will also help LOT achieve carrying 16.9 million passengers per year in 2028, a 70% increase compared to the current 10.3 million passengers that they carry today.

There will also be a huge focus from the flag carrier increasing its service quality and passenger experience by introducing new widebody aircraft interiors as well as Wi-Fi access on its long-haul services.
