Loganair has released its biggest-ever summer schedule for services between Glasgow and Donegal in 2024.

The UK’s largest regional airline remains the only carrier offering a direct air link between the UK and Donegal and, following strong customer demand, has announced an extended summer season for next year.

Loganair’s Summer Schedule for 2024

If you’re planning a getaway to the mesmerizing landscapes of Donegal in 2024, Loganair has some exciting news for you.

The regional carrier has unveiled what will be its most extensive summer schedule to date for flights connecting Glasgow and Donegal.

This direct air link between the UK and Donegal follows surging demand from the airline’s passengers.

Starting from April and stretching to October, Loganair’s 2024 summer schedule promises an extended period of convenience and accessibility.

This expansion will see a significant increase in the number of weekly flights, rising from three per week in 2023 to four per week in 2024.

This move meets the travel demand from passengers and also provides a further boost to the connectivity between the UK and Northwest Ireland.

The eagerly awaited summer schedule for 2024 from Glasgow to Donegal is set to commence on April 5, 2024. Tickets for these flights are already available for booking on Loganair’s official website, loganair.co.uk, and can also be reserved through all major travel agents.

Loganair ensures that your journey is comfortable and stress-free from start to finish. Here are some of the highlights you can look forward to:

Generous Luggage Allowance: All Loganair fares come with a 15kg luggage allowance, allowing you to pack everything you need for your adventure without worrying about excess baggage fees.

Inflight Refreshments: During your flight, you can enjoy complimentary inflight refreshments, adding a touch of luxury to your travel experience.

Family-Friendly Travel: For families traveling with children aged 11 and under, Loganair offers attractive discounts, making it an affordable and enjoyable experience for all.

Commitment to Sustainability: Loganair is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint and is proud to include a mandatory carbon offset charge as part of its GreenSkies sustainability program.

The Beauty of Donegal

Luke Lovegrove, Chief Commercial Officer of Loganair, expressed his enthusiasm for the extended service, saying, “The popularity of this route in summer 2023 has been good, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has visited Donegal.”

“It’s breathtaking, and we are glad the expanded service next summer will give more customers than ever the chance to see this incredible part of Ireland.”

Equally excited are the residents of Donegal, who now have more opportunities to explore Glasgow. Loganair’s commitment to this route has remained steadfast since the early 1990s, and the relaunch of the Glasgow route in July this year received an overwhelmingly positive response from customers.

ATR-42 to Donegal

As a testament to their commitment to passenger comfort, Loganair will continue to operate this route using the quieter and more comfortable ATR-42 aircraft.

Flights are scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, providing flexibility for travelers.

Eilís Docherty, Managing Director of Donegal Airport, shares her thoughts: “The passenger numbers in July and August 2023 confirm the continuing demand for this route, and we are delighted that Loganair will be increasing the duration and frequency of flights for 2024.”

“We look forward to working with Loganair from early April next year to continue to provide direct flights between Donegal and Glasgow.”
