Improved On-Time Performance

Jetstar has recently demonstrated a significant improvement in its performance, with consistent reliability and low cancellation rates.

According to the latest government figures, over 76% of Jetstar’s 6600 flights to over 20 domestic destinations in February arrived on time. This represents a cancellation rate of only 2.6%. This achievement follows a similar trend of positive performance in January.

Jetstar’s on-time arrival rate surpasses its main domestic competitor’s February figures. By comparison, they achieved 71.5%, with a slightly lower cancellation rate of 2.8%.

Additionally, Jetstar’s internal data shows that over 84% of flights arrived within 30 minutes of schedule for the past two months. Furthermore, it saw 94% of flights arriving within an hour.

This remarkable turnaround reflects the carrier’s strategic investments, including acquiring 11 new Airbus A321neo LR aircraft, hiring over 1,000 new frontline staff, and optimizing check-in and boarding times.
