By the end of 2024 JetBlue will open a new crew base at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU). Located in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The new crew base is set to bring over 400 local jobs to the area. This is broken down as up to 120 pilots and 325 inflight crewmembers.

The staff will begin and end their trips in San Juan. This will allow for better operational requirements for the carrier. Ultimately helping to combat irregular operations, such as severe weather.

San Juan will become the carrier’s seventh crew base. Alongside Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Newark, New York City, Orlando and Los Angeles.

Earlier this year JetBlue had announced a significant expansion in San Juan. By adding six new destinations by the end of the year, across the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean. This crew base yet further solidifies their commitment to Puerto Rico.
