It has been revealed that Edinburgh & Dublin will be the next destinations on the transatlantic agenda for JetBlue from New York JFK & Boston.

Off the back of its strong successes into London, Paris & Amsterdam so far, the airline is now planning to enter additional markets across Europe.

Without further ado, let’s get into it…

The table also includes plans for the airline to add a service between Paris CDG and Boston too. It is understood also that on the Dublin & Edinburgh services, the standard Airbus A321neo will be used for this, as opposed to the A321LRs.

“The success of our transatlantic service proves customers don’t have to choose between great service and low fares and can have them both with our award-winning Mint and core products,” said Robin Hayes, chief executive officer, JetBlue.

“Our summer seasonal service to Dublin and Edinburgh will bring a new level of service and affordable fares to these markets that have been dominated by high-fare legacy carriers for decades.”

“We look forward to introducing the JetBlue experience to business and leisure customers traveling this summer to and from Ireland and Scotland.”

Things Are Looking Strong on the Transatlantic Front…

The new services to Edinburgh & Dublin from Boston & New York as well as the additional service into Paris CDG speaks volumes to how JetBlue is performing at the moment.

Whilst the success on revenue may not be comparable to the other competitors who use larger aircraft, their model is clearly working within this.

Heading to the likes of Edinburgh & Dublin will no doubt provide competition against the likes of United Airlines, American & Delta at their own game, and it will be interesting to see what the price differentiation looks like.

Providing they are not affected by the flight cap ban at Amsterdam Schiphol, the carrier is looking strong with its transatlantic offerings from New York and Boston.

But for now, things are looking very exciting for the airline.
