Jet2, the third largest airline in the UK and the largest operator of European city breaks, have announced its biggest ever programme for 2024.
For the coming 2024/2025 season they intend on cementing this further with the biggest ever programme of city breaks.
It has no plans to stop there though with a further announcement expected soon for the Christmas Market schedules.
An area which has seen huge popularity increases across all operators over the past few years.
Driven by demand for City Breaks

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “The demand we are seeing for next winter is telling us that people are wanting to book further ahead and get their winter holidays booked in, which is why we have put this expanded Winter City Breaks programme on sale today.”
With more choice and increased capacity, it is our biggest Winter City Breaks programme to date.”
“Thanks to this unrivalled programme, which offers huge choice and flexibility, discovering and exploring the best European cities with Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks has never been so easy.”
“As more people look to escape on a city break this winter with an airline and tour operator they can trust, we are confident that these flights and city breaks will sell exceptionally well.”
Capacity has been increased to over 600,000 seats available to city break destinations across Europe. This represents a 10% increase over those offered from Jet2.com in 23/24
Jet2.com bolsters routes

Flying from Birmingham, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stanstead, Manchester and Newcastle.
Jet2.com and Jet2 City Breaks are serving Athens, Barcelona, Budapest, Krakow, Paris, Prague, Rome Vienna and Venice.
Some of these are bolstering of already available routes. Such as Athens from Birmingham, Barcelona from Leeds Bradford and Rome from London Stansted Airport.
These previously seasonal routes will now be year round. This is something that Jet2.com / Jet2CityBreaks claim is a direct response to the strong demand from the UK market.
Making the most of demand

Hoping to make a city break more attractive to a greater variety of travellers with ‘family friendly’ flight times and long weekend as well as mid-week breaks.
It would seem that the Jet2.com group is confident that demand will be as strong in 24/25 as it has been for the past few winters.
While the flights will be as any other Jet2.com booking, when part of a Jet2CityBreaks package, customers will be given 22kk hold and 10kg of free cabin baggage allocation in addition to the accommodation. Indications so far are that the schedule for the winter breaks will operate until late February.
With the expected Christmas Market schedule to add even more capacity to Jet2.coms biggest ever city breaks offering it will be interesting to see how others in the industry look to capture their segment of this expanding City Break pie.
We will be reporting on how other operators position themselves in response to this offering from Jet2.
