Milan

Milan, often referred to as the Fashion Capital of Italy, beckons leisure travelers with its unique charm.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the city’s cultural and historical attractions, such as the awe-inspiring Duomo di Milano, savor some of Italy’s finest cuisine, and even catch a match at the iconic San Siro football stadium. But the allure of Milan doesn’t end there.

Holidaymakers will also find increased access to Italy’s breathtaking Lake District, including renowned spots like Lake Como, as well as convenient connections to the ski resorts nestled in the Italian Alps, like Courmayeur and Cervinia.

Thanks to the proximity of Milan Linate Airport, these delightful destinations are within a mere two-hour journey from your arrival, making your Italian escapade all the more accessible and fulfilling.

A Hub for Business Travelers

In addition to serving leisure travelers, this route connects two of Europe’s essential financial hubs. London and Milan are crucial destinations for business travelers, attracting large corporations like JP Morgan, Barclays, and Credit Suisse.

The convenient travel options provided by ITA Airways will undoubtedly support the needs of professionals on both ends, fostering economic collaboration and growth.

Andrew Hodges, Chief Commercial Officer, London City Airport, said: “Milan was previously one of our top five performing routes and we have recently seen huge pent-up demand from our passengers to travel to-and-from, so we’re delighted to be offering greater access to the city.”

ITA Airways Experience

Emiliana Limosani, Chief Commercial Officer ITA Airways and CEO Volare, said: “We are pleased to be operating at London City, a favourite destination for business customers working in the British capital.

“We are also particularly proud to accompany our passengers with our brand-new Airbus, which has just joined the fleet.”

“The UK is a strategic market for ITA Airways, operating up to a maximum of 90 weekly roundtrip flights between London and its two hubs: Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate”.

The airline operates a single-aisle Airbus A220 aircraft that seats 125 passengers, offering spacious seating, ample overhead storage space, and large windows for an enjoyable and comfortable journey.

Adding a touch of Italian flair to your journey, the aircraft is painted in Italy’s distinctive blue colors. This represents a significant milestone as ITA Airways continues to establish its brand identity following a successful rebranding last year.
