Iran Air continues to capitalize on its successes as it adds an extra flight between Tehran and London Heathrow this Summer.

The carrier has been working towards continued expansion outside the country, with London currently a popular location for its operations.

Without further ado, let’s get into it, courtesy of AeroRoutes.com

The data shows that from July 31, services between Tehran and London Heathrow will increase to a fourth weekly flight, expected to happen on a Monday.

IR711, the new flight in question, will depart the Iranian capital at 1320 local time and arrive at Heathrow at 1710 local.

The return, IR710, will then depart London at 1900 and arrive back in Tehran at 0325 the next morning.

The Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday flights will depart Tehran at 1120 and arrive at Heathrow at 1510, with the returns departing at 1755 and arriving back at 0225 the next morning.

The Carrier Still Has A Lot of Work To Do…

Despite this flight addition, the airline still has a lot of work to do if it wants to get back to a sense of operational normalcy.

Data provided by RadarBox.com.

The data above shows that between May 23-30, Iran Air’s movement numbers dropped a staggering 52.94% compared to the same period last year.

This comes due to sanctions and political unrest on the diplomatic front, which has disabled the airline’s efforts to expand into other markets with the correct aircraft.

Whilst the addition of flights between London and Tehran are a step in the right direction, it shows how many more flights on a weekly basis the carrier needs to add to return to normal.

All eyes will be on the carrier to see what other expansive moves they could make in an effort to return to normalcy in the future.
