The low-cost pioneer of India, IndiGo, has recently announced the company’s newest service, with direct service flights between Hyderabad and Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.
The route will enable IndiGo to further bolster mobility and access to the region for tourist and business travellers. Flights to Ras Al Khaimah have already taken effect as of June 15, but the new service was first officially announced by IndiGo on June 28.
Non-stop to Ras Al Khaimah
Indian low-cost carrier IndiGo has now commenced flights between Hyderabad, India, and Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, the company announced just last week on June 28. The new services are run at a daily frequency.
With this new route, IndiGo is aiming to bolster the mobility, increase flight options and ease the access to the Emirati region. The route is being operated by IndiGo’s fleet of Airbus A320ceo and A320neo aircraft.
On the route, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, Mr. Vinay Malhotra said: “The country is witnessing a surge in domestic and international travel this year, and as India’s leading carrier, we are fulfilling this need by introducing new routes and adding frequencies to our existing routes.”
“We have started new direct flights between Hyderabad-Ras Al Khaimah, in view of the increasing demand. With the introduction of these flights, IndiGo now operates 14 flights a week from 2 cities in India.”

The flights will depart Hyderabad at 22:30 local, arriving at Ras Al Khaimah 01:05 (+1) the following day. Departures on the return flight will depart accordingly, where the flight to Hyderabad departs one hour later at 02:05 local, arriving at 7:20 local in Hyderabad the same day.
Recent Jakarta announcement
On 29 June, IndiGo also announced its latest route, with the destination being Jakarta, Indonesia. The latest route will join IndiGo’s route map as the 28th destination in their network.
The new route of IndiGo is to be launched in the next five weeks, with the route aiming to create a gateway to Indonesia from India; meeting the increased demand for Indonesia-bound fares.
On the latest route, Mr. Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, said: “We are excited to unveil Jakarta amongst our newest destinations within our expanding international network.”
