IndiGo provides further boost to Mumbai services

Major Indian low-cost carrier IndiGo, has further expanded its flight service offerings from Mumbai.

The airline recently announced the launch of a new flight connecting Mumbai and Durgapur, as well as the resumption of operations between Mumbai and Kannur effective from July 1, 2023.

All in all, IndiGo now operates over 170 daily flights in and out of the Indian commerce capital of Mumbai.

Mumbai service expansion


In addition to these new routes, IndiGo has also introduced additional frequencies on various domestic routes like Dehradun-Mumbai, Leh-Mumbai, Srinagar-Mumbai, Hyderabad-Mumbai, Jammu-Mumbai, Ranchi-Mumbai, Varanasi-Mumbai, Nagpur-Mumbai, and Amritsar-Mumbai, which came into effect on June 3, 2023.

These strategic expansions aim to not only boost capacity during the peak summer season but also contribute to maintaining affordable fares for travelers.

With these new additions, IndiGo now operates a total of 155 domestic flights and 20 international flights to and from Mumbai.

Mr. Vinay Malhotra, the Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed his delight in announcing these frequency additions, which are expected to facilitate trade and commerce.

The increased accessibility resulting from these flight expansions will also support the vision of the Maharashtra government in making Mumbai a thriving tourist hub, fostering job creation and economic growth.

Tourists from around the world flock here to explore its iconic landmarks and soak in the vibrant atmosphere.

One of the must-visit attractions is the Gateway of India stone arch, which stands proudly overlooking the Arabian Sea, serving as a symbol of the city’s grandeur. Another popular site is the revered Shree Siddhivinayak Temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha and attracting devotees and visitors alike.
