In more route news, IndiGo has this week announced the introduction of services to Diu from Ahmedabad & Surat, as well as from Salem to Chennai, Hyderabad & Bengaluru.
Each week, the Indian carrier continues to inaugurate or announce new routes within its domestic and international operations.
Without further ado, let’s get into it…
Ahmedabad & Surat to Diu…
First off, we have the new services to Diu from Ahmedabad and Surat. The scheduling is as follows for that, courtesy of the IndiGo website:
Mr. Vinay Malhotra, the Head of Global Sales for the Indian carrier said the following on this introduction of new routes:
“We are delighted to inaugurate our operations from Diu, one of the most scenic islands in India.”
“These new routes connect Diu to Ahmedabad and Surat, providing a gateway for tourists from all over to explore this coastal town.”
“As India’s preferred carrier we are focused on providing our customers with increased flight options, especially in the upcoming holiday and festive season.”
“We remain committed to delivering on our promise of providing affordable, on-time, courteous, and hassle-free travel experiences across our extensive network.”

IndiGo: Chennai, Hyderabad & Bengaluru to Serve Salem…
The other announcement is to do with Salem, which becomes the 82nd domestic and 114th overall destination for IndiGo.
Services from Chennai began on October 29, with the Hyderabad and Bengaluru services following on October 30. Below is the scheduling for the flights:
Malhotra also added to this saying the following:
“We are pleased to commence operations to/from the vibrant city of Salem, also referred to as the ‘steel city’.”
“These new routes, connecting Salem to the commercial and cultural hubs of Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, will bolster tourism, trade, and provide increased accessibility.”
“Customers can now travel to their favourite destinations in a significantly reduced travel time and with efficient flight options.”

It remains clear that IndiGo’s relentless approach to aggressive route growth doesn’t have any signs of slowing, with all eyes on what other announcements will be made throughout the rest of this year.
