IndiGo announces new connection between North Goa and Abu Dhabi

IndiGo, India’s major low-cost airline, will open services to Middle East from North Goa (MOPA Airport). Effective 2 September 2023, the airline is introducing new connections between MOPA and Abu Dhabi, aiming to enhance global connectivity and cater to the increasing demand for travel to Goa and the Middle East.

With triweekly flights, IndiGo seeks to further strengthen its connectivity in Abu Dhabi, expanding its network beyond the existing flights from five major Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi, and Hyderabad.

These additional routes promise to significantly improve accessibility and convenience for passengers traveling from North and West India to the cosmopolitan capital of the United Arab Emirates.

IndiGo comments on new service


Mr. Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed his enthusiasm about this new development in the airline’s flight offerings.

He stated, “The substantial demand in India for travel to the Middle East has not gone unnoticed, and at IndiGo, we are proactively taking steps to cater to this demand through these new connections.”

With the addition of the MOPA-Abu Dhabi flights, IndiGo will fly 52 times a week to Abu Dhabi from eight cities in India, bringing the UAE even closer for Indian travelers.

The airline is confident that both destinations will experience a significant boost in trade and tourism, promising to maintain their commitment to providing on-time, affordable, courteous, and hassle-free travel experiences across their wide network.
