IndiGo announces direct flights from Mumbai to Ayodhya

Major low-cost carrier IndiGo has announced a new direct service between Mumbai and Ayodhya, set to commence operations on January 15, 2024.

This development follows closely on the heels of the inauguration of the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya and IndiGo’s commencement of operations from Delhi on December 30, 2023.

The airline is poised to further extend its network, connecting Delhi, Ahmedabad, and now Mumbai to Ayodhya, creating a web of convenience for regional travelers.

Bridging Mumbai and Ayodhya


IndiGo’s daily flights between Mumbai and Ayodhya aim to redefine the travel experience, offering passengers direct accessibility and cutting down travel time.

Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Now Mumbai


The recent announcement builds upon IndiGo’s earlier commitments, with flights from Delhi starting on January 06, 2024, and Ahmedabad joining the network on January 11, 2024.

This multi-city connectivity not only strengthens IndiGo’s presence but also underscores its role in contributing to the economic growth of the region.

Mr. Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed his enthusiasm about the expanded connectivity.

He stated, “We are pleased to announce direct connectivity between Ayodhya & Mumbai, in addition to Delhi and Ahmedabad.”
