The new flights between Guangzhou and Hamad Airport in Doha began on April 22 with China Southern Airlines.

This service will operate on a four times per week basis, and complements Qatar Airways’ services too.

Using their Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, the airline will help to offer over 27,000 weekly seats to China.

China Southern Airlines becomes the fourth carrier this year to launch operations after:

  • Akasa Air
  • Japan Airlines
  • Garuda Indonesia

In a statement, the airport said the following on this:

“The addition of China Southern Airlines to Hamad International Airport’s roster is anticipated to further stimulate tourism, nurture trade relationships and fortify business relations between the two countries.”
