Global Crossing Airlines welcomes second A321 Freighter

Global Crossing Airlines Group, Inc. recently welcomed its second A321 freighter to its growing fleet, positioning it on the GlobalX operating certificate effective from June 16.

This aircraft underwent conversion under the Precision STC and was leased from Greenwich Highland Aviation. Its deployment will primarily cater to GlobalX clients operating flights between Miami, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

According to Ed Wegel, Chair and CEO of GlobalX, the company is delighted to commence operations with their second A321 freighter. The first freighter has been providing consistent service, operating six days a week with an impressive 99.5% dispatch reliability.

GlobalX’s customers have witnessed first-hand the outstanding economics and operational performance of the A321 freighter, solidifying its position as the leading narrowbody cargo aircraft in its class.

Additional freighter aircraft planned


Excitingly, Global Crossing Airlines Group, Inc. plans to announce the acquisition of two additional A321 freighters, scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of this year.

Furthermore, two more freighters are slated for delivery in the fourth quarter, emphasizing the company’s commitment to expanding its cargo operations.

In addition to the freighter expansion, GlobalX has also finalized the lease agreement for its 11th passenger aircraft.

The company expects to take delivery of this ex-Alaska aircraft, which shares the same model as four of their current aircraft equipped with Wi-Fi, in late July. This strategic addition will further enhance GlobalX’s passenger services, providing an improved travel experience for their customers.
