Commenting on this new deal with Baku-based Azerbaijan Airlines was GetJet Airlines CEO Rūta Kulvinskaitė:

“We are stepping into the winter season with a new strong and promising partnership with Azerbaijan flag carrier which proves that ACMI operations remain in high demand.”

“This is an important milestone for us in two ways. First, this partnership strengthens our presence in Asia and reinforces our global fleet operations.”

“Second, we are deploying a significant number of our Airbus A320 family units for the entire winter season which usually brings seasonal challenges for ACMI providers.”

“We are delighted that we have gained trust in our services worldwide and can expand our operations in various regions and continents regardless of the season”.

It remains clear that things are going well for Baku-based Azerbaijan Airlines, especially if they are needing additional aircraft to cater to demand out of the region and beyond.

Looking ahead, there could be scope to extend the wet-leasing period if travel demand persists over the Winter and into the Summer. All eyes will be on both sides to see what happens.
