Frontier Airlines Is Coming to New York: Diving into Expansion

Frontier Airlines has this week announced that they will begin flights to New York Newark and JFK amongst other expansion-based news.

This is a significant development in the expansion of flights within their network, as we will explore.

The New York Flights…

For New York specifically, Frontier Airlines will serve San Juan from JFK and Newark.

Newark will begin serving the popular destination on a 11 times per week basis from June 27.

As for JFK, services will operate on a twice-daily basis from June 6.

These services will mark a return to Newark for the first time in two years, with JFK being served by the airline for the first time.

As well as New York, Frontier will also service the following flights over the Summer:

  • Phoenix-Los Cabos – 16th May 2024 – Twice weekly.
  • Nashville-San Francisco – 11th July 2024 – Four weekly.

This represents, with New York in mind as well, 31 new weekly flights to be operated by the airline over the Summer 2024 season.

Such news also represents strong expansion from the airline.

Frontier Airlines has been making some big expansion over the last few months.

First off, back in January, they unveiled a series of new routes from the following airports which are due to begin in a few weeks:

  • Baltimore
  • Cleveland
  • Charlotte
  • Cincinnati

  • Chicago Midway

  • Chicago O’Hare

  • San Diego
  • San Francisco
  • San Juan

From the list you can see, it is an extensive set of airports that Frontier Airlines will be expanding within the U.S and beyond.

In conclusion, it remains clear that Frontier Airlines is going for it in terms of growth and expansion.

With New York being the most notable, it will be interesting to see how the JFK & Newark flights perform.

As we move closer to the Summer 2024 season, all eyes will be on their overall performance across their expansive plans.
