This week, it has been revealed that flynas is looking to place an order for 30 widebody aircraft.

Such news came from the airline’s financial announcements regarding entry into an IPO and more.

Without further ado, let’s get into it…

As per The National, flynas has issued a request for proposals to purchase 30 widebody aircraft.

It is understood that the winning offer is expected to be announced and signed this year.

As per Planespotters.net, flynas only has four Airbus A330-300 aircraft at this present time.

These are the only widebody aircraft in the fleet at the time of publication, with the other 54 aircraft being the A320 family.

Who Will Win The Order?

At this stage, it is unclear who will win the order for 30 widebody aircraft from flynas.

Many believe that Airbus are set to win this order for A330neos, especially with the airline’s preference towards the aircraft.

Furthermore, the Saudi Arabian carrier did used to have those aircraft in the fleet, via leases from Lion Air.

Maybe the use of these aircraft have swayed them.

On the other hand, Boeing will no doubt come forward to flynas with a proposal for a Boeing 787 order.

Another question to be asked from this is whether the order will be revealed at the Farnborough Air Show.

The trade event is around the corner, with this taking place in July.

In conclusion, this will be an order to secure for either Airbus or Boeing when it comes to flynas widebodies.

With traffic growing at an electric rate in Saudi Arabia, the need for such planes only intensifies.

All eyes will be on who wins this order, as well as whether this will be revealed at the Farnborough Air Show.

But for now, let’s wait and see what happens in due course.
