Major Saudi low-cost carrier flynas, has announced the introduction of direct flights between Riyadh and Bahrain.
This latest network addition is set to commence on November 15, and furthers the airline’s strategy to boost tourism in the Middle East.
A Gateway to Bahrain
flynas, which has proactively worked to develop its regional and international route networks, will now see the launch of direct flights between Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain, the beautiful island nation in the Persian Gulf.
With a strong offering of seven flights per week, this new route is poised to become a vital link between the two countries.
Bahrain Joins the Network
The inclusion of Bahrain in flynas’ ever-growing list of regional destinations is a testament to the airline’s commitment to providing accessible travel options.
Now, travelers can easily move between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Bahrain International Airport.
This addition of the Bahraini capital to flynas’ network aligns with the airline’s broader growth and expansion strategy, introduced last year under the slogan “We Connect the World to the Kingdom.”
This milestone is not just a result of flynas’ ambition but also a product of collaborative efforts. Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority has joined hands with flynas to make this initiative a reality.
It’s a fine example of how government authorities and private enterprises can work together to strengthen the tourism industry.
A Regional Tourism Destination
The recent Memorandum of Understanding signed between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain signifies a united approach to promote both kingdoms as a single tourist destination.
By joining forces, these nations aim to boost the tourism industry and encourage more travelers to explore the rich culture and attractions they have to offer. This collaborative effort is expected to open up new horizons for both countries.
flynas: A Growing Force
flynas is a rising star in the world of aviation. With connections to over 70 domestic and international destinations and more than 1500 weekly flights, it has served over 60 million passengers since its inception in 2007.
The airline’s ambitious goal is to expand further, reaching 165 domestic and international destinations.
These aspirations are closely aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the Saudi economy and reduce its dependency on oil.
Awards and Accolades
The success of flynas has not gone unnoticed. It has consistently been recognized with prestigious international awards, including the Skytrax International Award for the Best Low-cost Airline in the Middle East in 2023; an impressive sixth consecutive win.
It also gained a ranking as the 4th Best Low-Cost Carrier globally. These accolades reflect flynas’ commitment to providing high-quality service to its passengers.
In addition, flynas has secured the Best Low-cost Airline Award in the Middle East from the World Travel Awards for the ninth consecutive year in 2023.
These awards speak volumes about the airline’s unwavering dedication to excellence in the aviation industry.
In a comprehensive assessment conducted by APEX, a prominent international airline association encompassing 600 airlines worldwide, flynas achieved a remarkable four-star rating.
This places flynas in the highest category for low-cost airlines globally. Such recognition is a testament to flynas’ dedication to providing a top-tier travel experience.
