flynas has this week launched its first daily flights between Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, as the carrier continues it’s push in the Middle East.

It is understood the first service took off on November 15, with the new destination being part of the Kingdom’s overall strategy to 300 million travellers by 2030.

On this occasion, the first flight was celebrated at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh in the presence of representatives of flynas and Riyadh Airports Company, while the first flight received a ceremonial welcome upon arrival at Bahrain International Airport.

flynas also organized a ceremony in Bahrain attended by representatives of flynas and leading travel agents.

Commenting on the new route launch with flynas from Riyadh was Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah, the CEO of the Bahrain Airport Company:

“Saudi Arabia has always been a key market for us, with airline connectivity between the two countries over seven decades attracting a passenger traffic of around 1.5 million annually.”

“The new connections with Flynas reaffirms our commitment to strengthening the bond between the two nations, with enhanced connectivity that will not only benefit travelers but also foster cultural exchange, business collaborations, and tourism ties,”

The carrier isn’t stopping there when it comes to Bahrain. From December 7, there will be a new direct route to the airport from Jeddah.

Such a service will operate on a twice-weekly basis to begin with, with there being no doubt of there being scope to expand this going into the future.
