Argentina’s low-cost airline Flybondi is all set to resume its direct flights on the highly demanded route starting September 3. Services connecting Buenos Aires with Florianópolis will re-start from the commencement of the month.
Flybondi’s Return to Florianópolis
Flybondi’s decision to restart the Buenos Aires-Florianópolis route comes as no surprise given its immense popularity. The airline had already been operating flights on this route until June, and due to the overwhelming demand, it’s back in action this September.
This move reaffirms the significance of the Buenos Aires-Florianópolis connection as a key market for the airline.
Chief Commercial Officer’s insight
Federico Pastori, the Chief Commercial Officer of Flybondi, emphasized the route’s importance. He stated, “Our travel proposal is different because it is simple, safe, reliable, and with the lowest prices. That experience is highly valued by the thousands of passengers who choose us.”
With a commitment to providing a seamless and affordable travel experience, Flybondi aims to stand out in the market and cater to the needs of its passengers effectively.
A trio of Brazilian destinations
In addition to Florianópolis, Flybondi offers year-round flights to two other exciting destinations in Brazil – Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
Both these cities have witnessed exceptional passenger occupancy levels, making them attractive travel options for those looking to explore Brazil’s vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and rich heritage.
According to the report by the National Civil Aviation Administration of Argentina (ANAC), the airline currents secures a 5% share of the regional market and a 13% share of the overall Brazil-Argentina market.
Flight scheduling
Flybondi’s schedule for the Buenos Aires-Florianópolis route will initially include two weekly flights, with departures on Sundays and Wednesdays, until November.
From December onwards, the airline plans to enhance its connectivity by operating a daily flight, making it even more convenient for travelers to embark on their adventures.
Flybondi is the first low-cost airline in Argentina. It was founded in 2016 by Julian Cook and Richard Guy Gluzman, and it began operations in February 2018.
The airline’s headquarters are located in Buenos Aires, and it has two bases: Aeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires and Ingeniero Aeronáutico Ambrosio L.V. Taravella International Airport in Córdoba.
Flybondi operates a fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The airline offers flights to a variety of destinations in Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay.
Its most popular destinations include Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario, Salta, Mendoza, Florianópolis, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.
In 2022, Flybondi was awarded the “Best Low-Cost Airline in Argentina” by Skytrax. The airline was also named one of the “Top 100 Airlines in the World” by AirlineRatings.com.
