Euroairlines Group has this week revealed plans to operate new flights from Manchester and London to Cayo Coco & Holguin via a deal made with Iron Travel.

This represents a temporary boost to the airport over what is expected to be a busy Summer 2024 season.

It is understood that the flights from Manchester & London to Cayo Coco & Holguin will begin next month.

Euroairlines Group, under their IATA Q4-291 plate, will provide these flights.

However, it is unclear which airline will actually be operating these flights.

Particularly out of Manchester, there has been mention around either Iberojet or Maleth Aero running the flights.

For London, the assumption can remain the same on that front.

The contract is with Iron Travel, a tour operator that currently offers different services focused on Cuba.

If these flights from London & Manchester to Cayo Coco & Holguin take off, this will be a good boost for the S24 season.

There is clearly a level of demand there that is yet to be filled.

Commenting on the launch of these flights was Euroairlines Group CEO Antonio Lopez Lazaro:

“For us, Iron Travel is a strategic partner that will allow us to strengthen our presence in a very important area for international tourism”.

“At Euroairlines we prioritize customer satisfaction and for this reason we are constantly looking for new alliances to be able to offer the best connections to our users so that they can reach their destination more directly”.

Adding to this was Ernesto Placer, the CEO of Iron Travel:

“Our collaboration will help improve Europe’s connection to the Caribbean, as we will offer the best customer experience before, during and after the trip”.

“We are delighted to be part of Euroairlines Group’s expansion plans”.

Overall…

Overall, these new flights to Cayo Coco & Holguin from Manchester & London provide a strong boost to the Cuban market.

All eyes will be on the performance of these flights, as well as whether there is scope to expand this again next year.

If there is, then these services will no doubt repeat again in the Summer seasons following this year.

But for now, let’s see how the new flights perform.
