Ethiopian Airlines revealed plans to launch flights between Addis Ababa and Freetown with a stop in Ouagadougou.

For example, these services will begin on May 31, 2024 on a thrice-weekly basis.

In fact, using their Boeing 787-8 aircraft, the plan for flights between Addis Ababa and Freetown with Ethiopian Airlines is as follows:

  • ET 943 Addis Ababa (ADD) Ouagadougou (OUA) Freetown (FNA) Tues, Thurs, Sat
  • ET 942 Freetown (FNA) Ouagadougou (OUA) Addis Ababa (ADD) Wed, Fri, Sun

Airline CEO Mesfin Tasew had this to say on the new flights:

“We are delighted to expand our West Africa network with the addition of Freetown, Sierra Leone.”

“This new route, set to launch in May 2024, will provide our passengers with more options for travel.”

“As we continue to grow and connect with more destinations, we are committed to fostering cooperation and partnership between our countries.”

This will be welcome news for those in the area of the Ethiopian capital, Freetown and Ouagadougou.
