According to Emirates’ Press Release, the Premium Economy product will be offered in Sao Paulo on November 19, with the Tokyo Narita service to follow thereafter on December 20.

The airline’s newly retrofitted Airbus A380s will feature 484 seats with “refreshed interiors across all cabins and renowned signature experience”.

For the 484 seat set-up, this will be across four classes, consisting of the following:

  • 56 seats in the new cabin offering.
  • 338 in Economy.
  • 76 in Business
  • 14 in First Class.

In their statement also, Emirates had this to say on their newest offering:

“The Premium Economy offering has proven to be immensely popular on the ten routes where the product has already been launched and, with travel demand soaring across its expansive network, it is expected to appeal to those seeking a premium travel experience at an attractive price point.”

“Since Premium Economy was introduced to Emirates’ offering one year ago, more than 160,000 customers have traded up from Economy Class, choosing to try the elevated experience it provides.”

It remains clear that this tier of product is beginning to become more popular under the airline’s umbrella, with all eyes on them to see how this will perform on the Sao Paulo & Tokyo routes respectively.
