Emirates continues to be a leader in inflight experiences, recently taking home top honors at two prestigious aviation award ceremonies.

At the 2024 Pax International Magazine Awards in Hamburg, Germany, Emirates was crowned the winner of ‘Best Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity Middle East’.

This particular award was for its impressive combination of cutting-edge Wi-Fi and an extensive entertainment library.

The airline then followed this up with wins for ‘Best-Inflight Entertainment’ and ‘Best Premium Economy’ at the AirlineRatings.com Airline Excellence Awards.

Uninterrupted Connectivity at 30,000 Feet

Emirates has consistently been at the forefront of inflight Wi-Fi advancements, as one of the first airlines to offer connectivity back in 1993.

The airline was also a pioneer in launching an inflight mobile phone service in 2007. The UAE carrier’s commitment to innovation is evident in its investment of over US$300 million in connectivity solutions.

Passengers in all travel classes can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi access after signing up for the Emirates Skywards loyalty program.

Skywards members receive free internet in Business and First Class, while Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers get complimentary Wi-Fi in Economy and Premium Economy. Basic tier members can still enjoy free app messaging in these classes.

This year, with the introduction of 50 new Airbus A350s, Emirates will further elevate the inflight experience by offering passengers high-speed broadband powered by Inmarsat’s GX Aviation.

These aircraft will be the first in the Emirates fleet to leverage Inmarsat’s Global Xpress (GX) satellite network, ensuring seamless global connectivity, even on polar routes.
