Emirates has this week announced an interlining partnership with Maldivian, to further its links across the archipelago of the Maldives.
This agreement came into effect on September 15, which allows connectivity on a single ticket to the following destinations via Male:
- Dharavandhoo Island (DRV)
- Faresmathoda Airport (FMT)
- Funadhoo Airport (FND)
- Fuvahmulak Island Airport (FVM)
- Gan Island International (GAN)
- Kooddoo Island (GKK)
- Hanimaadhoo Island Airport (HAQ)
- Kulhudhuffushi Airport (HDK)
- Hoarafushi Airport (HRF)
- Kaadedhdhoo Island Airport (KDM)
- Kadhdhoo Island (KDO)
- Madivaru Airport (LMV)
- Maafaru International Airport (NMF)
- Maavarulu Airport (RUL)
- Thimarafushi Airport (TMF)
- Ifuru (IFU)

Commenting on the deal with Maldivian was Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim:

Adding to this was Ibrahim Hamdhan Mohamed, the General Manager of Commercial Operations at Maldivian:

“This partnership would enable us to increase the visibility of our extensive domestic network and it aligns perfectly with our objective of providing seamless connectivity to travelers. Customers will be able to plan and book their entire journey directly through the airline with ease.”

Overall, this is a big step for the region, and will no doubt enhance the amount of tourism-based connectivity going into the future.
