Emirates will be boosting its services to Osaka with the introduction of the A380 starting from 1 June 2024.

The A380 to be deployed to Osaka will be a four-class aircraft configuration, retrofitted with the airline’s latest product, Premium Economy.

Osaka becomes the second Japanese destination to operate with the newly upgraded aircraft. The airline’s A380 operations to Kansai International Airport (KIX) come as Japan expects an increase in tourism.

Regionally, a packed schedule of events includes the Osaka-Kansai Expo which is planned for 2025. Emirates also operates a daily four-class A380 service to Tokyo Narita, and a daily Boeing 777-300ER service to Tokyo Haneda.

Osaka: A380 Premium Economy Retrofit

The A380 aircraft bound for Osaka will undergo retrofitting to incorporate Emirates’ latest product, Premium Economy Class.

With Premium Economy, travelers can expect spacious seating arrangements, tailored amenities, and a dedicated cabin crew to cater to their needs throughout the journey.

With the deployment of the four-class A380 aircraft, Emirates will significantly boost its seat capacity on flights to and from Osaka.

This translates to an additional 910 weekly seats, providing passengers with more options and flexibility in planning their travels.

Moreover, the enhanced connectivity will open up seamless connections to popular destinations beyond Dubai, including Milan, Madrid, Paris, London, and more.

Cabin Configurations

In December 2023, Emirates launched its Premium Economy product on the Dubai-Narita route and it has so far garnered great interest.

The airline’s distinctive product is currently available on flights to 14 other destinations globally, including New York JFK, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, London Heathrow, Sydney, Auckland, Christchurch, Melbourne, Singapore, Mumbai, Bangalore, Sao Paulo and Dubai.

Emirates’ A380 deployed to Osaka will feature the luxurious cabin configuration.

From 14 opulent First Class suites to 76 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 338 ergonomically designed seats in Economy Class, every passenger is assured of a comfortable and enjoyable journey.

The introduction of the Premium Economy cabin further adds to the variety of choices available, ensuring that every traveler finds a preferred space to their liking onboard.

In-Flight Entertainment and Dining

Emirates takes pride in offering superior in-flight entertainment and dining options to its passengers. With up to 6,500 channels of movies, TV programs, and music through the “ice” entertainment system, travelers can stay entertained throughout the flight.

Additionally, the airline’s innovative menu and extensive beverage selection promise a delightful culinary experience at 35,000 feet above ground.

In line with its commitment to passenger satisfaction, Emirates has also introduced various ancilliary services to enhance the overall travel experience.

From the resumption of Chauffeur-drive service for First and Business Class customers to complimentary shuttle bus services for Economy Class passengers, Emirates strives to provide seamless connectivity and convenience at every touchpoint of the journey.
