Delta & LATAM Announce Colombia Routes

On June 16, it has been announced that Delta and LATAM are expanding their joint venture by adding new Colombia services.

This article will cover the details surrounding Delta’s and LATAM’s new Colombian routes and their operations to the South American country.

Delta & LATAM – New Colombia Ops

To start things off, from October 29, LATAM Airlines Colombia will be launching a new service between the Colombian city of eternal spring, Medellin to Miami. The route will be operated on a daily basis using the carrier’s Airbus A320 fleet.

  • Flight LA 4408 will depart Medellin Jose Maria Cordova International Airport (MDE) at 12:30 p.m. and arrive at Miami International Airport (MIA) at 15:55 p.m. All times stated are local.
  • Flight LA 4409 will depart Miami International Airport (MIA) at 18:30 p.m. and arrive back at Medellin Jose Maria Cordova International Airport (MDE) at 21:55 p.m. All times stated are local.

Also starting on October 29, LATAM Airlines Peru will begin a new route between LATAM’s hub in Lima direct to Delta’s hub in Atlanta. This new service will operate three times per week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays alongside Delta’s existing daily Boeing 767 service, flights DL 151 and DL 150.

  • Flight LA 2482 will depart Lima Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) at 12:00 p.m. and arrive at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) at 19:10 p.m. All times stated are local.
  • Flight LA 2483 will depart Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) at 22:45 p.m. and arrive back at Lima Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) the following morning at 05:40 a.m. All times stated are local.

Additionally, Delta will be adding a new three-weekly service from December 22 between Atlanta and Cartagena using their Boeing 737 aircraft operating on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Not only this but Delta will also be increasing its Bogota service to double daily from October 29 with a new service using its Boeing 757 aircraft.

  • Flight DL 1851 will depart Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) at 09:50 a.m. and arrive at Cartagena Rafael Nunez International Airport (CTG) at 13:55 p.m. All times stated are local.
  • Flight DL 1852 will depart Cartagena Rafael Nunez International Airport (CTG) at 15:20 p.m. and arrive back at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) at 19:35 p.m. All times stated are local.
  • Flight DL 589 will depart Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) at 09:45 a.m. and arrive at Bogota El Dorado International Airport (BOG) at 14:30 p.m. All times stated are local.
  • Flight DL 590 Bogota El Dorado International Airport (BOG) at 16:00 p.m. and arrive back at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) at 21:00 p.m. All times stated are local.
