Delta Air Lines has today announced plans to launch flights to Taipei from Seattle, as the airline celebrates 90 years of operations at the U.S airport.
It is understood the services are expected to begin on June 6 next year, pending government approval to launch.
Without further ado, let’s get into it…
Delta Air Lines To Launch Taipei Services from Seattle…
This new service will mark the inaugural nonstop flight to Taipei from Seattle, with the last service to the city being back in 2017 via Tokyo Narita International Airport.
Services will operate on a daily basis, providing more connectivity into Asia from the West Coast of the United States.
Commenting on this new service was Joan Wang, the Managing Director of Global Sales for Delta Air Lines in Seattle:
“This route not only opens new doors to Taipei’s captivating skyline, vibrant night markets, and rich cultural heritage, but it also marks a significant stride in enhancing Seattle’s global connectivity”.
“This strategic addition to Delta’s trans-Pacific portfolio is poised to make a profound impact on the Seattle market, fostering increased business and leisure travel opportunities for our discerning customers.”
The airline will be marking it’s 90th anniversary out of Seattle this month, with the carrier now boasting over 160 daily departures from the airport to 50 destinations across the globe.
All eyes will be on how this new route performs for the airline, as well as whether there will be scope to expand the Taipei services further from other hubs going into the future.
