This is strong news once again for the Air Connectivity Programme.

Adding airlines like China Eastern Airlines on the Shanghai-Riyadh service further boosts their global presence.

We have seen other airlines grow it’s presence into the Middle Eastern country in recent months.

For example, Air India Express is adding flights to Jeddah from Mangaluru Airport.

On top of this, flynas recently announced the addition of flights into Berlin from Jeddah at ITB.

Finally, German carrier Eurowings unveiled new flights to Jeddah from Berlin and Cologne.

Slowly but surely, the Saudi Air Connectivity Programme are achieving their goals in terms of growth.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on how the service performs, as well as whether there is scope for expansion.

With the Kingdom looking to diversify economically, if they produce good results in this, then more airlines will follow.
