Canadian ultra-low-cost carrier Canada Jetlines has posted its performance results for August; setting a new record for block hours flown, coming off a strong revenue increase in Quarter 2.
A Record-Breaking August
The summer of 2023 witnessed Canada Jetlines reaching new heights. In August alone, the airline turned in a sound operational performance, flying a total of 736 block hours.
This achievement surpassed their previous record of 622 block hours, set just the month before in July 2023.
Welcoming the Third Airbus A320
The airline recently took delivery of its third Airbus A320 aircraft, which further bolstered fleet availability in the summer season.
The newly acquired aircraft, an Airbus A320-200 with Canadian registry C-GCJK, is equipped with CFM56-5B4/3 engines.
Q2 2023 Operating Revenue
Financial stability is the backbone of any successful enterprise, and Canada Jetlines has showcased its financial prowess in Q2 2023.
The company reported a staggering total operating revenue of $8.8 million for the quarter. This very respectable figure reflects a substantial 72.8 percent increase compared to Q1 2023.
Winter Flight Schedule
Canada Jetlines has maintained the growth momentum with a recently announced expanded winter flight schedule. With demand remaining strong, passengers can make avail of more options with additional flights between Toronto and Montego Bay, Jamaica, as well as Orlando.
These new routes also complement the existing services to Cancun, Mexico, and Las Vegas.
In their statement, the airline was rightly pleased with its recent accomplishments, saying: “We are making great strides and are pleased with our strong operational performance achieved this summer.”
“As we head into the Fall and Winter months, we look forward to continued momentum as we expand our service into new sunny destinations.”
“We have a great story to share and are committed to expanding our visibility and engaging with investors from coast to coast as the company continues on its growth trajectory.”
