Canada Jetlines turns in strong August performance

Canadian ultra-low-cost carrier Canada Jetlines has posted its performance results for August; setting a new record for block hours flown, coming off a strong revenue increase in Quarter 2.

A Record-Breaking August


The summer of 2023 witnessed Canada Jetlines reaching new heights. In August alone, the airline turned in a sound operational performance, flying a total of 736 block hours.

This achievement surpassed their previous record of 622 block hours, set just the month before in July 2023.

Welcoming the Third Airbus A320


The airline recently took delivery of its third Airbus A320 aircraft, which further bolstered fleet availability in the summer season.

The newly acquired aircraft, an Airbus A320-200 with Canadian registry C-GCJK, is equipped with CFM56-5B4/3 engines.

Q2 2023 Operating Revenue


Financial stability is the backbone of any successful enterprise, and Canada Jetlines has showcased its financial prowess in Q2 2023.

The company reported a staggering total operating revenue of $8.8 million for the quarter. This very respectable figure reflects a substantial 72.8 percent increase compared to Q1 2023.

Winter Flight Schedule


Canada Jetlines has maintained the growth momentum with a recently announced expanded winter flight schedule. With demand remaining strong, passengers can make avail of more options with additional flights between Toronto and Montego Bay, Jamaica, as well as Orlando.

These new routes also complement the existing services to Cancun, Mexico, and Las Vegas.

Canada Jetlines operates on an ultra-low-cost model, and is headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario. The airline was founded in 2013 and launched its inaugural revenue flight on September 22, 2022, from Toronto Pearson to Calgary.

The airline aims to meet the market demand in Canada for low-fare air travel, planning to follow the business model of European low-cost carriers Ryanair and easyJet by operating from smaller secondary airports when possible.
