Brussels Airlines has this week inaugurated new flights to Nairobi, in a boost for the Kenyan economy.
The Belgian carrier continues to identify growing markets and is capitalising on it well.

The New Brussels-Nairobi Flights…
Brussels Airlines will be connecting Nairobi significantly with up to six flights per week.
The inaugural flight, SN481, departed on June 3, and is set to enhance tourism into the area significantly.
Furthermore, the airline noted that around 50,000 people have already booked flights to the Kenyan capital.
Nairobi also joins the 18 destinations within sub-Saharan Africa that Brussels Airlines already serves.
Europe is the second highest source market, contributing to 29% of market share into Kenya, or 572,352 arrivals last year.

Adding to this was Arnaud Feist, CEO Brussels Airport:
“It is also very important and good news for us as an airport that Brussels Airlines is expanding its network with a direct flight to Kenya.”
“This further strengthens both their Africa network and our role as an intercontinental hub for our country.”
“Both for tourism and as a developing African economic centre, Nairobi is an interesting destination for Belgian passengers and transfer passengers.”

In conclusion, it is clear that these flights to Nairobi with Brussels Airlines have been long awaited.
With six flights per week on offer and 50,000 passengers already booked, it’s clear this route will be a success.
Looking ahead, all eyes will be on how bookings rise, and whether this will facilitate more flights.
