British Airways To Resume London-Tel Aviv Flights in April

This week, it has been revealed that British Airways will resume flights between London and Tel Aviv in April.

Such a report came from Business Travel News Europe who received confirmation from the airline via an emailed statement.

British Airways To Resume London-Tel Aviv Flights in April…

In a statement, British Airways said the following to the media publication regarding the resumption of flights between London and the Israeli airport:

“We’ve taken the commercial decision to move Tel Aviv to our short-haul network when we restart our flights on 1 April”.

“This aligns these flights with other similar length flights we operate, and we’ll keep this decision under review.”

It is understood also that the outbound service from Heathrow will involve a 45-minute technical stop in Larnaca due to staff of the airline not being able to stay over in Tel Aviv.

Such a move is interesting given the fact that their main competitor on the route, Virgin Atlantic, have done the complete opposite.

It is understood that the airline has suspended services between London and the Israeli airport until September 4 this year following the continued conflict in Israel.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on whether British Airways stick to this plan of restarting services into Israel by April, or whether it will get delayed in due course.
