At this stage, it is unclear when the two Airbus A320neo and two A321neo aircraft will be delivered to British Airways.

For November 2023, the European planemaker scored 113 gross orders, which consists of the following:

  • 30 A220-300s for airBaltic (Dubai Airshow).
  • 60 A320neos for SMBC Aviation.
  • 15 A350-900s for Emirates (Dubai Airshow).
  • 2 A320neo & 2 A321neo for British Airways.
  • 2 A320neos for Aer Lingus.
  • 1 A330-900neo for Air Lease Corporation.
  • 1 A350-900 for Air Mauritius.

For net orders, there was 52 cancellations, which means that year to date, Airbus has secured a total of 1,395 orders.

British Airways will utilise these A320neo and A321neo aircraft for fleet renewal and subsequent expansion moving forward.

Of the neo variant family, the airline has 20 A320neos at the time of writing, as well as 11 A321neos, as per data from Planespotters.net.

Looking ahead, all eyes will be on whether we will see anymore incremental orders from the UK carrier, or whether this will be it for the time being.

But for now, all eyes will be on Airbus to see how they finish off the year with net orders, as well as whether there will be any last-minute blockbuster deals to close the year off.
