Commencing from August 11, 2023, the Belarus flag carrier, Belavia, is set to commence a new route between the Belarusian capital, Minsk, to the Indian capital, Delhi.

Initially, the route is set to be operated on a once-weekly basis with the outbound flight departing Minsk’s National Airport (MSQ) on Fridays with the return from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) being operated on Saturdays.

It is expected that from September 20, 2023, there will be a second weekly service operation that will depart Minsk National Airport (MSQ) on Wednesdays with the return flight from Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) being operated on Thursdays.

According to officials from Belavia, the new service will depart Minsk at 20:25 p.m. local time and arrive in Delhi at 05:35 a.m. local time the following morning. The return service will depart Delhi at 06:55 a.m. local time and arrive back in Minsk at 11:40 a.m. local time.

Both services have an approximate flight time of around seven hours. We are expecting that Belavia will operate this new service using their Boeing 737 fleet, of which the carrier currently has seven in their fleet.

This is broken down as one Boeing 737-300 with 148 economy class seats, five Boeing 737-800s, all with 189 economy class seats and one Boeing 737 MAX 8 with 12 business class and 162 economy class seats.
