Commenting on the inauguration of the route was Avianca‘s sales director for North America, Central America and the Caribbean, Rolando Damas:

“We are pleased to introduce the new seasonal route from Las Vegas to San Salvador, which is aligned with our strategic plan to open 50 new nonstop routes in three years”.

“Avianca remains committed to providing our valued passengers with convenient and direct travel options to their desired destinations and are especially excited to offer the Las Vegas Latino community increased opportunities to meet and reconnect with their loved ones.”

Avianca currently use an Airbus A320 for this particular route, with this to operate on a seasonal basis only.

For now, all eyes are on Avianca to see how the new route between the American state and the South American destination performs over the Summer.

What will be interesting to see is whether the airline will make this a year-round route in the future, depending on how popular the route will be.

This will be a further boost for tourism within the American casino state, and offers more significant connectivity from the San Salvador area as well.
