Avianca Airlines adds new US-Central America seasonal routes

Colombian flag carrier Avianca Airlines is opening up three new seasonal routes between the United States and Central America.

The new services will offer connections into El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.

Connecting the United States and Central America


With reservations now open for flights commencing in early-to-mid December, Avianca Airlines is set to boost travel between the United States and Central America. The new routes make travel to El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras more accessible and convenient.

Avianca Airlines has crafted three compelling itineraries to meet the diverse travel needs of passengers:

El Salvador Expedition

The first route, dubbed the “El Salvador Expedition,” offers an incredible gateway to the heart of Central America.

Whether you’re an adventurer seeking pristine beaches or a culture enthusiast exploring ancient Mayan ruins, this route promises an unforgettable experience.

Guatemala Getaway

For those with a penchant for exploration, the “Guatemala Getaway” beckons. This route leads you to the stunning landscapes of Guatemala, where lush rainforests and breathtaking volcanoes await your discovery.

Honduras Adventure

Airbus A320 Operations


Avianca Airlines understands that a comfortable journey is essential for travelers. These new routes will be serviced by the state-of-the-art Airbus A320 aircraft with a seating capacity of 180.

Rolando Damas, Avianca Airline’s country officer in the United States and sales director for North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, expressed his enthusiasm for these new seasonal routes.

Seasonal Operations


The announced routes are tailored for seasonal operations, aligning perfectly with travelers’ preferences and dynamic travel trends. Avianca Airlines consistently strives to provide the best travel options to meet your needs, and these seasonal routes are a testament to that commitment.

Currently, Avianca customers have access to an extensive network of over 144 routes, with more than 4,100 weekly flights, representing a staggering 730,000 weekly seats

Avianca Airlines is the largest airline in Colombia and the flag carrier of the country. It was founded in 1919 as SCADTA (Sociedad Colombo Alemana de Transportes Aéreos) and is headquartered in Bogotá.
