Discover Flamenco’s Birthplace – Sevilla

Austrian Airlines now connects the vibrant city of Vienna to the passionate rhythms of Flamenco in Sevilla.

Starting with the winter flight schedule, this enchanting Andalusian capital will be served on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with the frequency increasing to three weekly flights in the summer.

The entire Andalusia region beckons with numerous tourist highlights, including the historical wonders of Granada, the captivating city of Cordoba, and the iconic Rock of Gibraltar.

Sevilla and Andalusia are not just culturally rich and fascinating; they also offer an opportunity to escape the winter chill and bask in moderate temperatures.

This makes Sevilla a highly appealing holiday destination even during the winter months.

Rovaniemi

In addition to the sunny charm of Sevilla, Austrian Airlines has something unique in store for the winter season.

Starting in December, the airline will operate a weekly flight to the official hometown of Santa Claus – Rovaniemi.

This Finnish city, located in the heart of Lapland, is a magical place where Christmas dreams come true.

Rovaniemi is more than just a place on the map; it’s a destination that embodies the spirit of the holiday season year-round.

Visitors can explore the Santa Claus Village, meet the man in red himself, and even cross the magical Arctic Circle.

The winter landscapes of Rovaniemi are a sight to behold, with opportunities for exciting winter activities like dog sledding and witnessing the mesmerizing Northern Lights.

Austrian Airlines Comments

Michael Trestl, CCO of Austrian Airlines, acknowledges the interest in the routes, saying: “The increasing demand and sustained high travel interest from our guests, both in summer and winter, demonstrate their year-round desire for relaxation and sunshine.”

“We have strategically expanded our winter flight schedule to include attractive tourist destinations to fulfill our passengers’ travel wishes.”
