Asia Digital Engineering (ADE), the engineering and maintenance subsidiary of Capital A Berhad, has recently achieved a significant milestone.

The completion of ADE’s 100th C-Check in under 2.5 years not only sets a record but also bolsters its track record in aircraft maintenance.

Understanding the Significance of a C-Check

A C-Check is a very comprehensive maintenance task; calling out a long list of maintenance and inspection actions,  it is a major engineering check with respect to the airworthiness and safety of an aircraft.

This in-depth inspection covers critical components and systems, demanding specialized tooling, test equipment, and specific engineering qualifications.

ADE’s ability to complete 100 C-Checks in such a short timeframe is a testament to its growing expertise and proficiency in the field.

ADE’s CEO Acknowledges the Achievement

Mahesh Kumar, the CEO of Asia Digital Engineering, expressed his thanks to the entire team for reaching this major milestone.

He highlighted the exceptional skill, professionalism, and resilience demonstrated by the engineers and technicians at ADE.

Kumar believes this achievement solidifies ADE’s position as a leading MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) player in the ASEAN region.

Commitment to Safety and Quality

ADE’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in aircraft MRO is evident through various milestones, including the recent EASA Part 145 approval from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.

This approval complements ADE’s existing certifications and authorizations, showcasing the company’s dedication to meeting global safety and operational standards.

ADE has earned the trust of its customers through enduring relationships, glowing testimonials, and successful partnerships with airlines across the region.

The company’s focus on delivering exceptional services has positioned it as a reliable MRO service provider.

Capital A’s CEO Commends the Achievement

Tony Fernandes, CEO of Capital A, praised Mahesh and the ADE team for their incredible achievement.

He highlighted ADE’s substantial growth, reflecting its potential to become one of the world’s best MRO service providers.

Fernandes sees opportunities for ADE to expand its offerings by integrating digital solutions and data science into MRO, offering predictive maintenance and spare parts management.

Future Expansion Plans

As part of its strategic expansion, ADE is set to increase its facilities footprint. A new hangar at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), operational by the third quarter of 2024, will significantly enhance base maintenance capacity.

This expansion aligns with ADE’s vision to accommodate up to 14 narrowbodies simultaneously. Additionally, ADE plans to advance line maintenance operations in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Cambodia in 2024.

These expansions demonstrate ADE’s commitment to providing top-notch MRO services across the Asia Pacific region.
