American Airlines plans a 2024 transatlantic expansion

With summer 2023 winding down, American Airlines is embarking on its largest transatlantic expansion since 2019, and the plans are nothing short of spectacular.

American will add new nonstop service to Europe, with flights from Philadelphia (PHL) to Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH); Naples, Italy (NAP); and Nice, France (NCE).

The airline will also launch a new service between Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Barcelona, Spain (BCN) and bring back flights between Chicago (ORD) and Venice, Italy (VCE).

2024 Trans-Atlantic Expansion


Philadelphia to Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH)
