American Airlines Announces New York-Tokyo Flights

American Airlines now becomes the only U.S carrier to fly between New York and Tokyo, as flights are due to begin on June 28.

Under it’s partnership with Japan Airlines, over 30 destinations will be on offer through operations at Haneda.

Below is the scheduling for the new flights between New York JFK and Tokyo Haneda with American Airlines:

This new route will mark the fourth daily nonstop flight to Haneda, which will join existing services from Dallas-Fort Worth and Los Angeles.

Such an announcement comes following the U.S DoT formally approving the application made by American Airlines.

Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning said the following on this milestone:

“American looks forward to launching flights between JFK and HND this summer”.

“This new service will complement flights offered by our joint business partner, Japan Airlines, giving more ways for our customers travel between the U.S. and Japan.”

This means, with this new service provided by the airline, there will be up to three daily services based on what partner Japan Airlines offers:
