Allegiant Travel Company (NASDAQ:ALGT) has unveiled its plans to relocate its operations at Nashville International Airport (BNA) from Concourse B to the brand-new Satellite Concourse.

This strategic move, scheduled to take effect on Saturday, October 21, ushers in a new era of growth and convenience for Allegiant passengers.

Nashville Gateway

The Las Vegas-based airline’s transition to the C Gate Satellite Concourse is more than just a change of location; it represents a commitment to enhancing passengers’ overall travel experience.

The state-of-the-art facility is designed to cater to the specific needs of leisure travelers, offering a plethora of amenities and features that will undoubtedly elevate the entire journey.

One of the primary motivations behind this relocation is to enable Allegiant to expand its flight schedule, offering more opportunities for travelers and laying the foundation for future growth at BNA.

Drew Wells, Allegiant’s Senior Vice President of Planning and Revenue, and Chief Revenue Officer, expressed his enthusiasm for this transition, saying, “We are excited to have a new home at BNA. The new satellite concourse will give us the flexibility to better serve our customers.”

“Nashville is a key part of our network, and this added capacity and new infrastructure will give us the opportunity for even more convenient and affordable travel options at BNA, while bringing economic and tourism benefits to the communities in Music City.”

A Milestone for Nashville International Airport

Doug Kreulen, President and CEO of BNA, also weighed in on this significant development, emphasizing its importance in accommodating the airport’s exponential growth and enhancing the passenger experience.

He stated, “The opening of our new Satellite Concourse is a milestone for BNA as we continue to work to accommodate the exponential growth we’re experiencing while simultaneously enhancing the passenger experience.”

“We are thrilled to have Allegiant Airlines as one of our key partners in the opening of our new Satellite Concourse and welcome in their next phase of growth here at BNA.”

Allegiant’s Impact on Music City

Allegiant’s journey with BNA began in 2018, and since then, they have carried over 1.9 million passengers through the airport.

In February 2020, they took their commitment a step further by establishing BNA as a three-aircraft base of operations.

This strategic decision resulted in the creation of 66 high-wage jobs and an investment of $50 million in infrastructure and equipment, underlining Allegiant’s dedication to Nashville’s vibrant and growing community.

Nashville, with its rich cultural history, iconic music scene, and world-class culinary offerings, has quickly become one of the most sought-after destinations in the country.

Allegiant’s service has proven to be exceptionally popular, prompting the airline to add a fourth aircraft and expand its team to better serve BNA customers.

Currently, Allegiant employs 111 team members at BNA, further cementing their commitment to the Music City.

Summary

Allegiant now serves an impressive 31 cities from BNA throughout the year, offering a diverse range of travel options. Notably, 19 of these routes are unique to Allegiant, meaning that no other airlines provide nonstop service on these routes.

In July 2023, Allegiant announced yet another exciting addition to its service, with new flights to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, set to commence on November 16.

This expansion underlines Allegiant’s dedication to providing convenient and affordable travel options to an ever-expanding list of destinations.
