Akasa Air: Doha as first international destination

Rapidly growing Indian carrier Akasa Air, has marked a milestone in its growth trajectory will the announcement of its first international operation.

The carrier has confirmed its plans to commence international operations, with Doha, the capital of Qatar, being the first destination added to its route network.

As well as marking a first for the relatively new Indian carrier, the move is also set to further enhance air connectivity between Mumbai and Doha.

Details of International Operations

Starting from March 28, 2024, Akasa Air will operate four non-stop flights per week between Mumbai and Doha.

The airline has now commenced bookings for these flights through various channels, including its website, mobile apps, and leading online travel agencies, with return fares starting at an attractive price of INR 29,012.

What makes this announcement even more remarkable is that Akasa Air has achieved the feat of venturing into international operations within a record time of just 19 months since its inception.

This accomplishment underscores the airline’s agility, vision, and commitment to growth in the fiercely competitive aviation industry.

Since its launch in August 2022, Akasa Air has now served over 7.75 million passengers domestically and currently connects with 21 cities.
